Ofsted Praises Menston Primary School’s Caring and Inclusive Culture

Moorlands Learning Trust is delighted to celebrate the positive outcome of Menston Primary School’s recent Ofsted inspection, which recognised strong standards in attendance and behaviour, early years, and personal development and wellbeing.
Inspectors described pupils as “happy, safe and proud to belong” to their school, highlighting Menston’s caring and inclusive culture. The findings reflect a school community where children feel safe, happy and valued and where positive relationships help every child to feel known, included and supported to thrive.
The school achieved Ofsted’s Strong Standard in three areas, awarded where inspectors identify leaders as working above the standard expected of them. The inspection also recognised the dedication and commitment of staff, governors and colleagues across Moorlands Learning Trust, alongside the contribution of the school’s pupils.
Headteacher Marie Wilson said: “We are incredibly proud of this outcome. The report reflects a school that is meeting high national expectations across all areas whilst demonstrating particularly strong practice in a number of key aspects of school life. Above all, it celebrates the children, staff and families who make our school such a special place to learn and grow.”
Menston Primary School will continue to build on these successes, with areas identified for further development already reflected within the school’s improvement priorities and ongoing work.
