Moorlands Learning Trust is pleased to share an inspiring update from Nidderdale High School, where students are thriving through its NiddVenture outdoor education programme
NiddVenture is a distinctive initiative that places outdoor learning at the heart of students’ development and offers a rich blend of adventure, challenge and real-world experience. Through activities such as winter mountaineering in the Cairngorms and local hill expeditions in the Yorkshire Dales, NiddVenture equips students with practical skills, self-confidence and a strong sense of collaboration.
Building on the success of their first winter mountaineering training, students at Nidderdale High School demonstrated resilience and teamwork by planning and completing a solo walking expedition across the Yorkshire Dales last summer - an achievement that reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing resilience, leadership and a lifelong love of adventure.
